Community
Welcome messages, auto-roles and the level system (XP)
Short answer
Welcome messages and auto-roles are in the Community tab. The level system gives XP for messages (by default 4 to 10 every 60 seconds) and grants roles for reached levels.
Welcome, goodbye and auto-roles
- Welcome channel and welcome message. An empty field means a random default message in English.
- Goodbye channel and goodbye message for people who leave.
- Auto-roles: roles given to every new member. The role must be below the bot role and not managed by an integration.
The level system
Members earn XP and levels for messages on the server. Everything is set in the Level system module:
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum and maximum XP | 4 and 10 | The range of random XP per message |
| XP cooldown | 60,000 ms | How often the same person can earn XP |
| Base multiplier | 1 | XP multiplier (turning the module on sets a value above zero) |
| Weekend multiplier | 1.2 | An extra multiplier on weekends |
| Channels without XP | none | Messages in these channels give no XP |
| Level reward roles | none | The bot grants a role at a level |
XP commands
Everything lives under one command, /xp: rank, leaderboard, log, configuration, card, plus quests, achievements, prestige and thanks. Staff have subcommands to add, remove and set XP. You can also see your levels in the dashboard under My XP.
