Music and command access: DJ role, volume and channel limits

Updated:

Short answer

Music is controlled with /play, /skip, /volume and the buttons on the player. In the Commands & music tab you set the DJ role, the volume and which commands work in which channels.

Music commands

CommandDescription
/playAdds a track or playlist to the queue.
/queue, /nowplayShow the queue and the track now playing.
/pause, /resumePause and resume playback.
/skip, /previousNext and previous track.
/loopLoops a track or the queue.
/volumeSets the volume from 0 to 100.
/forward, /rewindSeek forward and back in a track.
/radioPlays a radio station in a voice channel.
/stopStops the music and disconnects the bot.

Who can control the queue

By default the person who started the queue controls it. Set a DJ role in the dashboard and people with that role (and with Manage Server) can control any queue. Without a role the "whoever started it controls it" rule stays as it was.

Volume

  • Maximum volume (10 to 100): /volume and the volume up button never go above it.
  • Default volume (0 to 100): applied to every new queue. An empty field means the bot setting, and the value never exceeds the maximum.

Command access

The Command access module lets you turn off whole categories (music, fun, info, utilities, levels) or single commands and limit commands to chosen channels.

  • A turned off command answers the user that it is off on this server.
  • With a channel limit, commands from these categories only work in the chosen channels (or their threads). People with Manage Server can use them anywhere.
  • Moderation, admin and ticket commands and /help always work, so nobody can lock themselves out of configuration.

Frequently asked questions

Why can I not stop someone else queue?

The person who started the queue controls it. Set the DJ role in the dashboard so chosen people can control any queue.

How do I turn off the fun commands?

In the dashboard: Commands & music, Command access, turn off the Fun category.

Can I limit commands to one channel?

Yes, pick the channels in the "Allowed channels" field. Moderators with Manage Server can still use commands everywhere.
