Moderation
Raid protection: mass joins of new accounts
Short answer
Set a join threshold within a time window (default 5 in 10 seconds) and an action. When the threshold is exceeded the bot punishes the raiders and for 5 minutes punishes every further new member too.
Step by step
- Turn the module onIn the dashboard: Moderation, Raid protection.
- Set the threshold and windowBy default 5 joins in 10 seconds.
- Limit it to new accountsSet an account age, for example 7 days. 0 counts all accounts.
- Choose an actionOnly notify, mute for an hour, kick or ban.
- Add an alert channelThe bot writes there when it detects a raid.
How the bot detects a raid
The bot counts joins of accounts younger than the set number of days. When at least as many accounts as the threshold join within the time window, it treats it as a raid. Accounts older than the age limit and bots are not counted.
Raid mode
After detecting a raid the bot punishes all accounts in the window, and for 5 minutes it also punishes every further new member immediately, so latecomers do not slip through. The channel alert is sent once per raid.
Actions
- Only notify: the bot punishes nobody and only writes to the alert channel.
- Mute for 1 hour: a timeout (Moderate Members).
- Kick (Kick Members) or ban (Ban Members).
Punishments go to the /cases history. People the bot cannot punish (a role that is too high) are skipped, and the alert says how many were actually punished.

Will genuine new members be punished?
Only if they join in numbers above the threshold within a short window. Set the threshold above your normal inflow and limit it to young accounts.
Do I need to do anything after a raid?
No, raid mode ends after 5 minutes. You can review punishments in /cases and the channel alert.
