Role menus and verification of new members

Updated:

Short answer

A role menu is a message with buttons where members give and remove their own roles. Button or voice verification grants an access role after a click or after joining a voice channel.

Step by step

  1. Open the moduleIn the dashboard go to Community and pick Role menus.
  2. Add a menuChoose a channel, a title, the mode (several roles or one) and add roles with optional button labels.
  3. SaveAfter saving the bot posts the message with buttons in the chosen channel.

Role menus

A click on a button gives the role, clicking again removes it. In the dashboard you can have up to 10 menus with 20 roles each.

  • Several roles at once: every button works on its own.
  • Only one role: picking a new role removes the previous one from that menu.

The bot refreshes the message of changed menus only, and deleting a menu also deletes its message. If you change the menu channel the bot posts a new message and the old one must be removed manually. You can also use the /role-menu command (create, list, delete).

Button verification

The bot posts an embed with a "Verify" button. After a click the user gets the verified role. Set the channel, role, title and description in the dashboard or with /verify-button setup. disable turns it off and show displays the configuration.

Voice verification

The user joins the chosen voice channel, gets a role and is disconnected after a few seconds (3000 ms by default). It is an alternative to captchas and buttons. The bot needs the Move Members and Manage Roles permissions.
